Goals For 1/20-1/26

Mental Health: This week I want to try to come under budget in our groceries so that I can have a little play money when I go to visit Sister #2 on the weekend.

Physical Health: I have been doing awesome at going to the gym 5 times a week so far this year. I want to continue onward with that.

  • Monday: Aquafit
  • Tuesday: bike/treadmill and legs
  • Wednesday: Yoga
  • Thursday: bike/treadmill and arms
  • Friday: maybe Aquafit? I'll see what Sister #1 wants to do
This beauty is after my first time doing Aquafit! It's not just for old ladies people! It's a great workout, with low impact...I'll have to tell you more later :)

I'm trying out a few new recipes this week. I used to think, "How did women make dinner without the internet?" Now I think, "How did I make dinner without Pinterest?"

  • CFA copycat chicken nuggets with honey mustard sauce! I really hope this works because that is pretty much THE reason we go to CFA...I'll have to let you know.
  • Twice baked potatoes. This will be a first time for me, so if anyone has a good recipe, feel free to pass it along. As of now I'm just using this one that good ole' google found me. Does this really take almost 2 hours to do? Because, lets be honest, most of my dinners take about 20 minutes to prepare!
  • Crock pot teriyaki chicken. (open crockpot, insert frozen chicken, pour sauce, come back in 7 hours :))
  • And something else that will come to me as I'm walking through Fred Meyers.
Spiritual Health: I started a scripture journal last week, so I'm hoping to continue on with that. I just read a chapter each day and then write the biggest thing that stood out to me from it. It's definitely turned my scripture study from checking off a chapter and walking away, to really thinking about what I'm reading and how I can apply it to my life! Plus, it's always fun to go back and read journals later! (note: I am the worst journal keeper ever, this is a true experiment that may crash and burn by the end of this week).

Feel free to write your goals in the comments below, I always do way better on my goals when I have people to hold me accountable!

  1. I have an easy sloppy joe recipe that I am trying out this week! Basically you brown the ground beef (I am using Turkey...don't tell Tyler) add manwich sauce (or homemade, mix ketchup, bbq sauce, worsechur...or however you spell it, and mustard until you like it). Mix sauce and ground meet. Get a thing of Pillsbury rolls, put some of the meat on half and pinch shut and bake! I'm pretty excited to try it out. I got the recipe here
